Angela Bassett reveals the political icons that inspired her last presidential role
Angela Bassett has played many roles, but her last effort takes her to the highest office on Earth. And now, he is offering an idea of how he prepared for the part.
We have seen Bassett recover his rhythm and we hope to exhale, now he portrays the president of the United States in the new movie “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”
Bassett appeared in “The View” on Wednesday to discuss who inspired his opinion on the role.
Coanfrerion Sara Haines asked the winner of the Golden Globe that she “inspired”, and pointed out that “we have not yet had a woman president.”

Before responding, Bassett commented: “Perhaps life will imitate art,” presumably insinuating that the country can be late for such history outside the screen.
“I look towards integrity women who have served, from Barbara Jordan to Shirley Chisholm, Stacey Abrams, Kamala Harris, below and down the line“Bassett said with a feeling of reverence.
After she wrapped her response, the coanfrerion Joy Behar said that “there are women who run countries worldwide.” Without losing a second, Bassett replied: “Why are we so behind?”

This is not his first term as a chief fiction commander. Bassett also plays the president in Netflix’s political thriller “Zero Day.”
And while it may be discordant to see a woman in the White House, given the political climate, Bassett confirmed that the filming was wrapped very before the 2024 electoral cycle.
