Anjelica Huston reveals a diagnosis of cancer after 4 years
Anjelica Huston is opening for the first time about living with cancer.
The Oscar winning actor told People in an interview on Wednesday that she was diagnosed in 2019 after the launch of “John Wick: Chapter 3-Parabellum.” Huston did not reveal the type of cancer, but recalled the overwhelming severity of receiving his diagnosis first.
“That was a very serious moment for me,” he told The Outlet. “I managed to survive, and I am proud of myself. It’s not something that came light. It was a great shock, but made me aware of what I shouldn’t do, from places to which I shouldn’t go.”
“One of those places was taking life too seriously,” continued the 73 -year -old.
Huston, who spoke with people on the phone from his California ranch near the mountains of Sierra Nevada, said that the health scare has completely changed his perspective: he is now determined to “not make a big problem” due to minor and laughter problems whenever I can.
Huston added that, upon learning that he was “clear” at some point in 2021, he entered his garden “and smelled the roses and thought how intelligent it was.”
“I am in the four -year brand, and that means a lot to me,” Huston told People, noting that he is still receiving regular checks. “It’s fantastic. I am very proud of myself and I have been very lucky. My doctors have been wonderful.”
The Huston decades career has been equally wonderful: the actor won an Oscar for his performance in “Prizzi’s Honor” (1985), gave life to Morticia Addams with delicious bells in the “Addams Family” (1991-1993) films and won a golden globe in 2005.

While it was established as much more than a “baby from Nepo”, his father was director John Huston, has also repeatedly defended directors Roman Polanski and Woody Allen, who were infamously accused decades ago of sexually assaulting children.
However, after four years without cancer, Huston is celebrated to move on. She told people that, although it was often difficult to talk about her condition, “there is much to say to talk about it and get it out,” and that beating cancer was vigorizing.
“Life is dim and wonderful,” Huston continued. “It also gives you the idea that the world is great and that you can somehow coincide with Him. That you are ready for what happens.”
