Former world heavyweight champion Antonio Joshua He reportedly flew back to Britain several days after a fatal car accident who killed two of his friends in Nigeria.
Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele died after the vehicle they and Joshua were traveling in crashed into a stopped truck on a main road near Lagos on Monday. The accident occurred nine days after Joshua defeated YouTube personality Jake Paul in a non-title fight in Miami.
Joshua suffered minor injuries and the two-time heavyweight champion was released from hospital on Wednesday after being deemed clinically fit to recover at home.

British media reported on Saturday that Joshua returned home ahead of Ghami and Ayodele’s funerals.
Ghami was Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was a coach. Just hours before the accident, Joshua and Ayodele posted clips on social media playing table tennis together.
The driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, was uploaded on friday for dangerous and reckless driving, and the court case was adjourned to January 20 for trial.
Joshua has family roots in Nigeria and briefly attended boarding school there as a child. He also has Nigerian nationality.
