The representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) reacted to Congress that approved the so-called “Great and Beautiful bill” of President Donald Trump with a passionate speech on the steps of Capitol Hill.

“I think this is one of the saddest days in the modern history of the United States,” the congresswoman told journalists on Thursday, after the mega-facture approved the camera, cleaning the way to go to Trump’s desk.

The bill will drastically cut Medicaid and food assistance while delivering important tax cuts for the rich. It also overstove the immigration budget and customs application. Trump signed it on July 4.

“People will go hungry,” said Ocasio-Cortez. “People will get sick. On a different scale from everything we have seen. And everything is only to finance tax cuts for billionaires and the richest corporations that do not even need it.”

She added: “I don’t think we have seen or are prepared for the catastrophic that this will be.”

In social networks, the representative warned about the consequences of the striking $ 170 billion that the bill assigns for immigration and border application.

“He is preparing so that what is happening now seems the children’s game,” he wrote.
