Ariana Grande’s family has announced that the grandmother of the pop star, Great Marjoriehe is dead. She was 99 years old.

“We are devastated by sharing that the beloved matriarch of our family has died. Marjorie (Nonna) largely died peacefully at home and was surrounded by her family and her loved ones for every moment of her last weeks,” Joan wrote in a family statement under a photo of Marjorie.

The statement continued: “We appreciate your love, support and respect our privacy while we cry and celebrate its beautiful and extraordinary life.”

The composer published his mother’s tribute to his Instagram stories on Tuesday. Ariana also shared an image of what her grandmother and her late grandfather Frank seemed to be, who died in July 2024.

Ariana’s older brother, Frankie Grande, shared a sincere tribute in her own Instagram account on Tuesday, writing in part: “I love you incessantly, my sweet nonna. I miss you more than words can hold. My heart is shattered, but I feel that I took care of you, already so proud of everything I have done and everything that is about to come.”

Frankie accompanied his publication with photos of special moments that he shared with his late grandmother.

Ariana has often shown love to her grandmother over the years she already often praised her close relationship.
