At least 75 ors urge senators to support the resolution of Iran’s war powers
More than 75 organizations signed a letter on Thursday that urged the senators to support publicly and vote for the resolution of the war powers of the upper chamber, to prevent President Donald Trump from using the United States army to attack they will again go without the prior approval of the Congress.
The Trump administration launched air attacks against key Iranian nuclear sites on June 21, an attack widely considered an act of war carried out without the approval of the constitutionally required Congress. Experts, including Thursday’s letter, say that Trump’s attack against Uranium enrichment facilities has now destroyed diplomatic conversations and Americans in danger of extinction.
“Israeli officials have shown that it is not about Iran’s nuclear program, it is about sabotizing the possibility of diplomacy and a peaceful resolution with Iran. There was no imminent threat of Iran’s nuclear program. It is, in fact, a war of choice,” says La Letter, whose signatories include progressive groups, civil and human institutions and foreign policy organizations.

The unauthorized attack resulted in a bipartisan reaction of Congress. The representatives RO Khanna (D-Calif.) And Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) A filtering preliminary intelligence report suggests that Iran was not committed to making a nuclear weapon, or Trump bombs really “erased” the facilities as he states. The senators finally received an Informative Intelligence session on Thursday on the attack before Friday’s expected vote on Kaine’s war resolution.
“Nothing that I learned from the informative session today would justify the decision of President Trump to bomb Iran or his failure to obtain the approval of the Congress as required by the Constitution. While we all agree that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon, American intelligence has constantly demonstrated that there was more time for diplomacy,” Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) Said in a statement. “In addition, the results of this strike show that the only lasting path to prevent Iran getting a nuclear weapon is through diplomacy, something that can now be more difficult to achieve.”
