New details have emerged about the death of the “Lilo & Stitch” star, David Hekili Kenui Bell.
The actor died on June 12 on the island of Hawaii at the age of 46, which caused an investigation by the Hawaii Police Department that has since closed since then, as an autopsy report obtained on Tuesday by people confirmed numerous pre -existing conditions.
The autopsy was performed a week after Bell’s death and was officially completed in July. The report listed four “pathological diagnoses”, namely, acute respiratory failure, hypertensive and atherosclerotic heart disease, sepsis and morbid obesity.
He said Bell “complained about breathing difficulty” before dying, according to people.
The report further identified stasis dermatitis, a skin condition that affects the legs due to poor circulation and edema, or swelling caused by the liquid accumulated in the lower extremities. A toxicology screen showed no notable traces of drugs or alcohol in its system.
While autopsy does not list a cause or way of death, atherosclerosis by itself can be fatal. The accumulation of fats, cholesterol and other substances can form a plate and block the blood flow, explode and lead to a blood clot, according to the Mayo Clinic.
The autopsy also confirmed the professional medical intervention efforts, including the resuscitation attempt, and that Bell still had defibrillator pads in the chest, an airway in the mouth, an blood pressure sleeve on the arm and an intravenous line in the leg while examining it.
Bell began his career as a professional actor with a small role in 2014 in the television series “Hawaii Five-0”. Later he got a part of two episodes in “Magnum Pi”, but he really came to be chosen in the live action remake of the 2002 Disney film, “Lilo & Stitch.”
The 2025 box office success reached theaters in May and raised more than $ 1 billion worldwide.

The film focuses on the unlikely friendship between Lilo, a Hawaiian girl from a broken family, and Stitch, a small confusing alien who landed on her island. Bell, whose character witnesses Stitch’s arrival, was apparently on the moon about his debut in the main film.
The actor’s death was first announced in a Facebook post by his sister, Jalene Kanani Bell.
“Recently it reached the big screen with an iconic Lilo & Stitch [sic]. He planned in advance and bought the best seats in the house so that we all go together at the opening night in Kapolei only two weeks ago, “he wrote on June 15.
“Hug your loved ones today … our last time together after returning home in the movie was alone [us] Sitting on the sofa of my living room, “Jalene added at that time, concluding:” Blessed for this and all the big and small moments, I will keep our memories lived. “
