Entertainment legend Barbra Streisand has never been a fan of President Donald Trump, but in a series of frustrated social media posts Wednesday, the multi-talented icon argued that his latest controversy sums up the legacy of his entire presidency.

“Trump lied when he said he wouldn’t disrupt the current White House over its ridiculous ballroom,” Streisand wrote Wednesday night on Threads. “His destruction of the East Wing is a symbol of what he has done to our democracy.”

Trump announced construction of a new ballroom in July at an estimated cost of $200 million, saying the project would not “interfere” with the White House proper. However, this week, the entire east wing was torn down to the ground.

Trump on Tuesday called the sounds of demolition “music to my ears.” He also increased the construction cost to $300 million and told NBC News last month that the ballroom will be “a little bit bigger” than initially planned, with a capacity of 900 people.

Streisand also noted that Trump is moving forward with the project amid a government shutdown, which has entered its fourth week after a standoff between Democrats and Republicans over health insurance measures for millions of Americans.

“While the government is shut down, Donald Trump is destroying part of the East Wing of the White House, the People’s House, for his unwanted ballroom,” Streisand wrote Wednesday in a separate post on Threads. “Who pays for this atrocity?”

Ultimately, his ballroom project has become as unpopular as his presidency: A recent YouGov America poll asking 2,038 American adults about the demolition shows that 53% disapprove of it “strongly or somewhat.” The Economist has Trump’s current net approval rating at 56%.

Streisand wasn’t the only one to argue that the demolition perfectly captures his presidency, as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) shared an image Tuesday on social media and wrote, “This is Trump’s presidency in one photo: illegal, destructive and not helping you.”
