In an excerpt from the new Blink-182 rocker memory, “Fahrenheit-182”, Hoppus details how a romance with another woman began the same night that had a disappointing appointment with the “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” star, Melissa Joan Hart.

Hoppus explains that more than 25 years ago, Hoppus and Hart met at The Teen Choice Awards, In an extract obtained by Entertainment Weekly.

“And I must have found me interesting because it made its publicist reach the publicist of my stamp to give me his number,” the bassist wrote. “Court totally normal.”

Hoppus made a point of taking into account that at the time he met the 90’s teenage idol, “she was newly famous, but she had been famous for years.”

“Melissa and I went to a Sushi restaurant in the valley,” Hoppus continued. “It was a horrible date.”

Although Hoppus said that the “Clarissa star explains everything” was “very pleasant”, he said that they were having “connecting” problems.

“Everything in his life revolved around acting, and it was difficult to interact with her about anything else,” Hoppus wrote. “I would ask him what he liked to eat in addition to Sushi and said:” Well, I’m generally eating what catering provides on the set. “I would ask what she likes to read, and she said: ‘Well, I’m usually reading scripts for work'”.

Hoppus admitted that he probably also found his unattractive conversation.

“I am sure that from his perspective, all I could talk about was music,” said Hoppus. “We just didn’t go a great game. It was difficult.”

Although Hoppus and Hart were not destined to be together, Destiny had not ended with Hoppus that night.

When he came home after his appointment with Hart, Hoppus noticed that he had a voice message from a woman named Skye Everly, a Booker in MTV, who was about to completely change Hoppus’s life.

“I called her back and some light jokes quickly became a deep conversation,” Hoppus wrote. “We talked above all. We talked about where we grew up and how our families were. We talked about our races. We talked about our favorite albums. They liked more pop things and was not familiar with the underground punk bands he called. However, he liked rock music in general, and that was close enough for me.”

Hart, on the other hand, did not seem too disconsolate by the soft appointment. She went to Mark Wilkerson in 2003and the couple share three children.

“He is right, it must have been bad because I don’t remember it at all!”
