Charlie Sheen regrets not arriving at Matthew Perry before her death.

Sheen reflects on his connection with the star of “friends” in his new memoirs, “The Book of Sheen”, which offers a raw account of his lifelong battle with addiction and his repeated Rock Bottom rebounds.

In the book, Sheen writes: “Matt and I shared a deeper truth that we saw each other, we were both, like Bobby Dee Jay [his nickname for Robert Downey Jr.] I used to say, ‘veterans of the indescribable’. “

Speaking more about his link with Perry in an interview with Page Six published on Tuesday, the winner of the Golden Globe said: “We had that common land instantly among us.”

Sheen told him how he read the memories of 2022 of his friend, “friends, lovers and the great terrible thing” in a single day, calling the book “Brilliant.”

Sheen said shortly after opening it: “I turned off my phone, I just said: ‘Ok, this is all that matters at this time'”.

He was particularly delighted by the book where Perry reveals how he prayed to find fame after watching a television segment about Sheen’s struggles in the mid -90s.

“I am in his book! He made me laugh when there is a story about me in the news and he said: ‘Fuck Charlie Sheen, I will be so famous one day.’ And I was like, ‘Vas, Matt’.”

After finishing the memoirs, Sheen intended to consult with his partner. Unfortunately, he could not make that happen before Perry’s premature death.

“I was going to call him, just communicate and try to meet him for a cup of coffee or something. And unfortunately, I didn’t,” he told Page Six. “And Jesus, three weeks later he died.”
