Singer Chris Brown was arrested in the United Kingdom on Thursday morning at dawn for an alleged attack against a producer that occurred two years ago, according to TMZ and The Sun.

The media report that the R&B artist was arrested by the London Metropolitan Police under suspicion of serious bodily damage.

According to the reports, the arrest took place at the Lowry hotel in Manchester around 2 in the morning of the local time, only a few hours after flying to the city in its private jet.

Brown was arrested for an incident that occurred in the London film club on February 19, 2023, when, according to the reports, he crushed the music producer Abe Diaw on the head with a bottle.

At the time of the incident, Diaw told The Sun that the singer’s assault “under influence” was not caused. Diaw said Brown proceeded to hit him and kick him while caught on the floor after the initial blow to the head.

Brown’s representatives did not immediately respond a request for comments from News.

Brown has been accused of violent assault several times over the years, including a very publicized incident of 2009 with his then Rihanna girlfriend.

In 2014, he declared himself guilty of assault for minor crime for an incident in Washington, DC, according to prosecutors, the singer admitted to having hit a man in the face “without provocation.”

Last year, Brown was sued on behalf of four men who alleged him and the members of his entourage “beat them brutally and severely” on stage after a show in Fort Worth, Texas. At the time of demand, Brown’s representatives did not respond to News’s request for comments.
