Country Pat Green singer is afflicted after his stepbrother and his family were trapped in the catastrophic floods that extended through the center of Texas on Friday.

Green, who is behind the songs “Carry On” and “Two Hands”, shared news of the tragedy on a Monday Instagram post.

“During the weekend, during the devastating floods that arrived in the center of Texas, my family, like many others, suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss,” he wrote. “We are afflicted next to innumerable Texans whose lives have turned to this tragedy.”

“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy and space while we cry, we support each other and begin to process what comes next for our family,” the publication continued. “Thank you for your love, prayers and compassion.”

According to Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the stepbrother of “Texas in my mind”, John Burgess; sister -in -law, Julia Anderson Burgess; And his children, James and Jack Burgess, camped near the Guadalupe River in a Kerr County Recreational Vehicle Camp when the waters rose more than 25 feet in less than an hour.

Both parents have been declared dead, while children are still listed as missing.

The bourgeois camped in the area before planning to pick up their 8 -year -old daughter from the summer camp, who was not affected by the flood.
