“The image and clinical examination have confirmed that David Fry suffered multiple facial and nasal fractures on the left side, on the left side,” the team said in a statement. “While the injury will require close monitoring, including serial evaluations, David is expected to recover completely for the next 6-8 weeks without the need for surgery.
“David was recently discharged from the Cleveland Clinic and rests comfortably.”
The team thanked those involved in receiving immediate treatment.

The tiger of the Tigers, Tarik Skubal, launched the field that hit Fry on his face while Fry tried to play. Skubal was shaken by the work.
“It’s really difficult,” Skubal told journalists on Tuesday night, through MLB.com. “I already approached him. I am sure that his phone is exploding. I just want to make sure it’s fine. Obviously, it seemed well to leave the field, and I hope he stays like this. Sometimes with those things, they can change, so I hope it is fine.
“But I look forward to at some point tonight or tomorrow morning receiving a text message from it and make sure that it is fine because there are things that are bigger than the game, and its health is more important than a baseball game.”
