Death certificate reveals more details on Rob Reiner
The newly released death certificates for director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, revealed that they were cremated after being stabbed, allegedly by their son Nick Reiner.
The remains were turned over to his other son, Jake Reiner, according to documents obtained by various media outlets Tuesday from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The cause of death was officially listed as “multiple sharp wounds”… “with a knife, from another.”
The couple’s youngest son, Nick, has been charged with the murder.
The time of death for Rob Reiner, the star of the sitcom “All in the Family” who went on to direct hit films such as “When Harry Met Sally,” and Michele Reiner, a producer, were listed at 3:45 and 3:46 p.m. on Dec. 14, respectively.
The couple was cremated on December 19, their death certificates show.
Much of the conversation after the gruesome murder revolved around a party the couple and Nick Reiner attended the night before at Conan O’Brien’s house. Rob Reiner and his son reportedly argued over his behavior, which included bothering stars like Bill Hader with strange questions. Finally, young Reiner was asked to leave.
