Erika Kirk tearfully told host Megyn Kelly that she was “praying to God” because she was pregnant after her husband, Charlie Kirk, was murdered in September.

In a Sunday preview of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly asked Kirk how many kids he wanted to have.

“We wanted to have four. And I was praying to God to be pregnant when he was murdered,” she responded.

“Oh, wow. I thought about that once. If it was meant to be like this or if we would get news like that,” Kelly said.

“I know,” Kirk replied. “I thought, oh God, that would be the biggest blessing of this catastrophe. So now when I see young couples, I tell them, ‘Please don’t put it off.’ Especially if you’re a young woman, don’t put it off. You can always have a career. You can always, you know, go back to work. You’ll never be able to have kids again. And they grow up so fast, so fast, but I was just praying. We both were. We were so excited to expand our family.”

“Thank God you have them both,” Kelly said, referring to the Kirks’ young children. “Thank God.”

“A boy and a girl. I know,” Kirk said,

“One day they’ll find out,” Kelly said. “Right now they are just little loves. But one day they will find out that they are Charlie Kirk’s children and they will know what that means.”

Erika Kirk has become executive director of Turning Point USA, the right-wing youth voting advocacy group founded by her late husband. The murdered activist espoused far-right political views and said his wife was even more conservative.

At her funeral, Erika Kirk said she forgave her husband’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson.

But President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance backed retaliation against those who spoke out against Kirk after the shooting. More than 600 Americans were reportedly fired or disciplined for comments deemed offensive. Some mocked his death, but others simply disagreed with Kirk’s politics.
