Vice President JD Vance told USA Today that he is ready to become president if “God does not want it,” something should happen to President Donald Trump.

But the governor of California Gavin Newsom (D), who has been trolling on social networks, gave the vice president a blunt response:

The president has faced increasing questions about his health in recent weeks, since observers have noticed swelling around his feet and bruises in his hands, often covered with makeup.

The White House has declared that swelling is caused by a condition known as chronic venous insufficiency, which implies poor blood flow from the legs to the heart. The bruises, they said, are to strengthen so many hands and the use of aspirin.

But Vance said he is “very sure” that Trump will fulfill his full term.

“The president has incredibly good health,” he told USA Today. “It has incredible energy.”

However, if something goes wrong, Vance said he has “work training” necessary to intervene.

Newsom does not agree.

In a separate interview, Vance called Newsom to make fun of Trump social media bombs with exaggerated messages from his account.

“You can’t imitate the king,” Vance said in News. “You can’t imitate the teacher.”

The Newsom press office later published what seemed like a direct response, similar to Trump.

“An honor! Thank you!” They wrote, together with the following image:
