Gavin Newsom gives to Trump
California Gov. Gavin Newsom took his trolling of President Donald Trump right to the door of the Oval Office on Wednesday after the White House unveiled a new sign.
The sign features the words “The Oval Office” in gold letters next to an exterior door near the Rose Garden. The text appears to be printed on paper taped to the wall, possibly as a mockup to test the look:

Trump has been overseeing an extensive renovation of the White House that includes adding gold trim wherever possible (including above the door in this image) and destroying the entire East Wing to make way for a massive new ballroom.
Newsom, who has been trolling Trump the same way the president attacks his critics, used his Press Office account on X to revamp the sign.
Instead of “THE OVAL OFFICE,” Newsom’s version looks more like a tacky craft store “LIVE LAUGH LOVE” sign, except the word “LOVE” has been replaced with “LOSE” after the Republican Party lost big in this week’s election in what was widely seen as a rebuke to Trump.
