Golden Globes 2026: all the winners of Hollywood’s party of the year

Golden Globes 2026: all the winners of Hollywood’s party of the year

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday night, with comedian Nikki Glaser returning as host.

After coming into the ceremony with the most nominations, Paul Thomas Anderson’s paranoid film “One Battle After Another” walked away with Best Comedy Feature, Best Director and Best Screenplay, while Teyana Taylor was recognized as Best Supporting Actress.

One of the subtle surprises of the evening was the success of “Hamnet,” a dramatization of William Shakespeare’s family life. It won Best Drama Film, while star Jessie Buckley won Best Female Actress in a Drama.

The winners in the TV world largely mirrored last September’s Emmy Awards, where the limited series “Adolescent,” the HBO comedy “The Studio” and the thrilling medical film “The Pitt” shined.

Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast took the top prize for Best Podcast at the Globes, formally cementing audio entertainment as a full-fledged peer to film and television.

Although the path to the Academy Awards technically begins at the Golden Globes, it would be a mistake to treat the ceremony as a crystal ball in search of Oscar glory.

The Globes’ particularly large pool of nominees, inflated by the split drama and comedy categories for the top film awards, combined with a notoriously suggestible voting body, create ideal conditions for wild-card wins.

Still, the post-Golden Globes rumors don’t hurt when it comes to getting a little more attention from the Academy.
