Aric Dane actor, from “Gray’s Anatomy” and “Euphoria,” revealed that he has amiotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

“I was diagnosed with Als,” he told People on Thursday. “I am grateful to have my beloved family by my side as we sail for this next chapter.”

Dane plans to continue playing Cal Jacobs in HBO’s successful “Euphoria” drama.

“I feel lucky that I can continue working and I am anxious to return to a set of ‘Euphoria’ next week,” he said at the exit. “I kindly ask that I give my family and privacy during this time.”

But perhaps he is better known for his handsome plastic surgeon Mark Sloan, also known as McSteamy, in “Gray’s Anatomy” from 2006 to 2012.

Dane, 52, has been married to actor Rebecca Gayheart since 2004, and the couple has two teenage children.
