After Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner quietly deleted photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attending Jenner’s 70th birthday party last weekend, social media users wondered what exactly happened.

Some wondered if the photos were removed from the reality star mother-daughter duo’s Instagram accounts for privacy reasons. A source close to the event told People that it had to do with consent forms or, rather, the lack of them.

People It had initially been reported that the couple checked “no” on a photography consent form for the event.

But the source said Monday: “There were no consent forms.”

TMZ reported that a source close to the situation said Harry requested that Jenner and Kardashian remove the photos, considering the party’s proximity to the U.K.’s Remembrance Day, which honors military personnel who have died serving the country.

“They told us they thought it might be better to delete the images rather than send something that could be picked up and misinterpreted across the pond,” the outlet saying.

Meanwhile, Page Six also reported that a representative for the Sussexes allegedly asked Jenner and Kardashian to take down the photos because Harry is trying to patch things up with his family.

“They don’t want to upset the royal family while they try to reconcile,” the source said. “They need the [royal] family. “Meghan is aware of this.”

Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and the Sussexes have not publicly addressed the now absence of the photos.

Representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Kardashian and Jenner did not immediately respond to News themezone’s request for comment.

The royal couple were among many luminaries, including Oprah Winfrey, Adele and Mariah Carey, who attended Jenner’s James Bond-themed adventure at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Beverly Hills mansion on Nov. 8.

While both Jenner and Kardashian initially posted photos Monday of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a recap of the party, attentive fans noticed that the images were apparently later removed from their social media feeds.
