Apple Invita System Requirements
Before you begin, confirm these basics. You need:
- An iPhone with iOS 18 or later
- An iCloud+ subscription to create invitations
Guests can view and RSVP without an iCloud+ subscription. The steps in this article were tested on an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 26.2.
Download Apple Invites from the App Store
First, install the Apple Invites app.
- Open the App Store.
- Look for Apple Invitations.
- Download the calling app apple invitations to avoid confusion.
Open the Invitations application after installation.
How to Create a Free Digital Invitation with RSVP on iPhone
You are now ready to create your invitation.
Start a new invitation in Apple Invites
- Open the Invitations application.
- If it’s your first time, tap Create invitation.
If you’ve created invitations before, tap the plus icon in the top corner.
Add a background image to your invitation
- Tap Add background.
- Choose one option:PhotosCameraPlayground with Apple Intelligence on compatible modelsYou can also select emojis, Photographic either Colored backgrounds.

Grant access to the photo or camera if prompted.
Add event details like title, date and location
Next, fill out the key information.
- Tap Event title and enter the name of your event. Choose from four available fonts.

- Add a shared photo album so guests can view and upload photos by tapping Create album
- Add a link to websitelike a gift list, touching Add a link
- Add a Apple Music shared playlist guests can listen and add songs by tapping Add playlist
Add a Tile to group photos, playlists, or links in one place by tapping Add tile
Preview and create your invitation
Before sending, check everything.
- Tap Advance.
- Review how the invitation will look to guests.
- Tap Next in the upper right corner.
- Wait a few seconds while the invitation is created.

How to send invitations and manage RSVPs on iPhone
Once your invitation is active, you can share it in two different ways.
Invite people using a public link
- Low Invite with public link, cChoose how you want to share the link:MessagesMailShare linkCopy link
- Messages
- Share link
- Copy link
- Lever Approve guests Activate if you want to review RSVPs before adding guests.
- Leave Approve guests disabled to allow anyone with the link to automatically RSVP.
Guests who accept the invitation will appear on your guest list.
Invite guests individually
- Scroll to Invite people.
- Tap Choose a guest.
- You will then be asked to access your contacts and click Continue.
- Click Select contacts
- Select only the contacts want to include in this invitation and click Continue
- Tap Allow selected contacts
- Select a contact to send a unique invitation link.
- Then click messages, Mail either Share link
This option sends a unique link to a single guest.
Guests can RSVP even if they don’t own an iPhone.

Your invitation appears on the app’s home screen in Next.
Edit an invitation after you send it
Plans change and modifications are allowed.
- Open the invite from the Upcoming list.
- Touch the More Button (three horizontal points in the upper right corner)
- Click Edit to update the details.
- Changes automatically sync for guests.

Pro Tip: Duplicate Invitations for Recurring Events
If you’re hosting a recurring event, like a book club, save time.
- open a existing invitation.
- Touch the Further button. (three horizontal points in the upper right corner)
- Select Duplicate.
- Adjust the date, time either details as needed.
