Qatar condemns the Israeli strike in Doha
The Israel Army said Tuesday that it had “carried out a precise strike aimed at the upper leadership of the Hamas Terrorist organization, “in the midst of reports of great explosions in the capital city of Qatar, Doha.
The Qatar government quickly issued the sentence of what it called a “cowardly Israeli strike”, which had violated international law.
The Israel Defense Forces did not confirm the location of the strikes in their statement, but they said that he addressed the leaders of Hamas who, in the words of the FDI, had directed for years “the operations of the terrorist organization, are directly responsible for the brutal massacre of October 7 and have been orchestrating and managing the war against the state of Israel.”
Subsequently, the FDI confirmed to News themezone that its original statement referred to an operation carried out on Tuesday in Doha, which was called “Fire Summit.”

The Al-Jazeera television network said that a continuous meeting of Hamas leaders in Doha was attacked, while gathered to discuss a recent proposal of high fire of the United States to end War in Gaza’s strip.
The witnesses told the Reuters news agency that the black smoke feathers were waved from a service station, next to which there is a small residential complex that they said that it has been under 24 -hour guard since the beginning of the war in Gaza.
“Before the strike, measures were taken to mitigate the damage to civilians, including the use of precise ammunition and additional intelligence,” said the IDF.
The Office of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, issued a statement on Tuesday saying that “the action against the main Hamas terrorist bosses was a totally independent Israeli operation. Israel initiated it, Israel carried out it and Israel assumed all responsibility.”
A White House official told News themezone that Israel notified the United States just before the strikes against Hamas leaders in Doha were held on Tuesday. Two other US officials told News themezone that the United States did not coordinate with Israel about the planning of strikes.
Later, on Tuesday, Netanyahu and Israeli Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, published a joint statement saying: “This afternoon, in the light of an operational opportunity, and in consultation with all the heads of the establishment of the defense and with the total support, the prime minister and the Minister of Defense decided to implement the instructions given last night to the IDF and the commitment of the SHIN, who did so optimal. “
“The prime minister and the Minister of Defense believed that the action was completely justified in the light of the fact that this leadership of Hamas was the one who began and organized the massacre of October 7, and has not stopped launching murderous actions against the state of Israel and its citizens,” said the joint statement.
Countries, including United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Türkiye, published statements that condemn strikes in Doha.
Hamas, designated a terrorist organization of Israel, the United States and the European Union for a long time, has maintained a primary political position in Doha for years, through which it has carried out most of its diplomacy since the war in Gaza was caused by the group of the October group of 2023, terrorist attack against Israel.
Qatar is a nearby ally of the United States and also houses the largest American military base in the Middle East, the Al-Udeid air base. It has also been one of the mediators, together with the United States and Egypt, of the Alto El Fuego negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
The Qatar government condemned what it called a “cowardly Israeli attack that attacked the residential compounds that house several members of the Hamas political office in the capital of Qatari, Doha.”

“This criminal law constitutes a shameless violation of all international laws and norms and raises a serious threat to the safety of Qatar citizens and residents,” Dr. Majed said to Ansari, spokesman for the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in the statement. “Qatar reiterates its firm position that this reckless Israeli behavior will not tolerate and the continuous destabilization of regional security, or any act that is directed to its sovereignty and security. Research is being carried out at the highest level, and more details will be announced as soon as they are available.”
In a publication on social networks, the United States embassy in Doha said it was aware of “missile attack reports that occurred in Doha”, and announced a refuge order in the place for the facilities of the embassy that later rose.
The group that represents the families of the hostages taken during the Hamas attack of October 7 said in a statement on Tuesday that families were “following the developments in Doha with deep concern and great anxiety. A serious fear now hangs on the price that hostages can pay.”
The group demanded that an Israeli government plan return the 48 hostages to Israel. Netanyahu has said that 20 of those captives are believed to be alive.
“The time has come to end the war,” said the group.
