Israel’s military said Saturday it launched airstrikes against Hamas terrorists in Gaza in the last test of the ceasefire that began on October 10. Health officials in Gaza reported that at least 14 people were killed and 45 others were injured, including children.
Similar strike waves have occurred during the ceasefire following reports of attacks on Israeli forces.
The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that an “armed terrorist” used a road through which aid enters the territory to cross the yellow line which was established last month cease-fire. The border leaves the Gaza border area under the control of the Israeli military, while the area beyond is intended to serve as a safe zone. The person fired at the soldiers and was killed by the IDF, the Israeli military said. No IDF injuries were reported.
The IDF called the raid a “flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement” and said that in response, it had begun attacking “Hamas terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip.”
In a separate statement, Israel’s military said its soldiers killed three “terrorists” in the Rafah area and killed two others after shooting at four people who crossed into Israeli-controlled areas in northern Gaza and advanced toward the soldiers in two separate incidents.
In a statement, Hamas accused Israel of “flagrant violation” of the ceasefire agreement. The terrorist group accused Israel of altering the terms of the agreement and called for the United States to “fulfill its commitments, force the occupation to implement its obligations, and confront its attempts to undermine the path to a ceasefire in Gaza.”

One attack targeted a vehicle, killing seven and wounding 18 Palestinians in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, said Rami Mhanna, managing director of Shifa Hospital, where the victims were treated. Most of the injured were children, said director Mohamed Abu Selmiya.
Another attack targeted a house near Al-Awda hospital in central Gaza killing at least three people and wounding 11 others, according to the hospital. He said an attack on a house in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza killed one child and wounded 16 others.
And an attack targeting a house in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza killed three people, including a woman, according to Al-Aqsa Hospital.
The IDF said its Southern Command troops remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and said they “will continue to operate to eliminate any immediate threats.”
