Israeli forces kill American Palestinian adolescents in occupied West Bank

The Israeli forces fired three American Palestinian teenagers in the West Bank occupied on Sunday, killing one of them in what is the last incident of military citizens aimed at US citizens, usually without consequences.

A group of children protested in an Israeli raid in the village of Turmo Ayya when Israeli soldiers opened fire, hitting three teenagers who are US citizens, according to local media and the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Two American Palestinian children, 15, Ayoub Jabara and Abdulrahman Shihada, were urgently transferred to a hospital to receive treatment for their wounds, according to the mayor of the village, Adeb Lafi. But Israeli soldiers stopped the third, Amer Mohammad Saada Rabee, 14, before paramedics could get help.

Israeli troops fired Rabe 11 times, according to the American Palestinian Community Center (PACC). The adolescent of New Jersey was declared dead in custody.

The video on the ground shows Rabee’s mother kissing her son’s lifeless body during her funeral in Ramallah on Monday. Pacc, based in New Jersey, celebrated a prayer service in honor of the child, whose death said the group was “completely preventable and horribly unfair.”

“Amer was killed for speaking at a time when the United States and Israel are doing everything possible to crush the dissent, but we will not be silenced,” said Illinois state representative, Abdelnasser Rashid, a Palestinian American partner whose family is also from Turmo Ayya, News. The Democrat said he has spoken with some of Rabee’s relatives in Chicago, who are “understandably disconsolate.”

Israel’s defense force has confirmed the attack, justifying the shooting saying that adolescents, only known as “terrorists”, were “endangering civilians” throwing rocks on the road.

“When labeling children who throw stones such as ‘terrorists’, Israel strengthens a system manufactured above international law, violating their fundamental rules and principles, manufacturing pretexts to kill and strengthen their policy of institutionalized, systematic and illegal violence and persecution against Palestinians,” published a European human rights monitor in X.

“The murder of children is not a defense of its own. The launch of stone is not terrorism,” continued the Rights Group based in Geneva. “What Israel is committing is the violence of apartheid and the relentless violence of colonial settlers – Continuous, and he found impunity. ”

Rabee is the last American who is killed by Israeli forces, an occurrence too frequent that almost never resulted in the Biden administration.

  • An Israeli air attack killed Dr. Kamel Ahmad Jawad, based in Michigan, in October while helping civilians injured in Lebanon.
  • An Israeli sniper killed the American Turkish student Ayşenur Eygi in September for protesting the occupation in the West Bank.
  • An outside -service Israeli soldier killed the American Palestinian teenager Tawfiq Abdel Jabbar in January while visiting the family in the West Bank.
  • The Israeli soldiers defeated and arrested Omar Assad from Palestine American while driving home in the West Bank in January 2022, finally dying of a heart attack after they left the old man in the cold still handcuffed.
  • An Israeli sniper killed the American Palestinian journalist high profile Shireen Abu Akleh in May 2022, while covering Israeli raids in the city of Jenin de Baked.
  • An Israeli soldier directed a military excavator about American activist Rachel Corrie in March 2003, killing her while protested by the occupation in Gaza.

Despite the repeated calls of responsibility of Israel and the United States, the Department of Justice has never followed the prosecution in these cases. The White House, regardless of who occupies it, has almost always deferred to the self -investigations of the Israeli army, which when it is announced rarely has led to consequences.

The IDF did not answer News’s repeated questions about whether there would be an independent investigation in Rabee’s death, or if there was any consequence of the investigation into Eygi’s death.

“We know the frustration of listening to Israel fighting to falsely justify the orientation and murder of a loved one, as if something justifies the murder of this child,” Eygi’s family said in a statement on Monday. “We remember that our anger saw the lack of will of our government to seek justice for the murder of one of its own citizens, despite our repeated calls to responsibility.”

“If Ayşenur’s murder would have been investigated and those responsible would have been responsible, perhaps [Amer] It would be alive today, “the family continued.” Impunity provided to Israel for the United States, as well as its assignment of billions of dollars in weapons sales to Israel, allows Israel to continue the murder of US citizens. ”

The Trump administration now faces calls to restore sanctions to violent settlers and investigate Rabe’s murder, even by the New Jersey senators and the American-Islamic Relations Council. On Tuesday, the spokesman for the State Department, Tammy Bruce, did not answer the questions of the journalists about a possible investigation, only sent condolences to the families of the adolescents.

“We are not asking for special treatment, only equal protection under the law for all Americans, regardless of their ethnic or religious identity,” Cair said in a letter to the attorney general Pam Bondi. “When Americans are killed abroad, especially by actors of a foreign army funded by the United States as Israel, our government has the obligation to respond with all the force of US law. It does not perpetuate injustice and undermine the principle that each American life matters.”

The Sunday shooting is also part of an increase in violence against the Palestinians by Israeli soldiers and settlers in occupied West Bank, including a larger offensive in the northern region that has killed at least 99 people and displaced tens of thousands, according to the United Nations. While the Palestinians in the West Bank continue to face such threats, Israeli forces have maintained their 18 -month -old Gaza destruction, where UN officials say that children have taken the worst part of violence and displacement.

“We know that [Amer’s] Killing, like Ayezenur, has only attracted attention in the United States because he was an American citizen, and we also know that there are thousands of others [Amer’s] And Ayezenur killed by Israel whose stories have not been told, simply where they were born, “Eygi’s family said.” Israel must not only be responsible for the murder of [Amer] and Ayşenur, but also for his continuous genocide of the Palestinian people. ”
