Deir Al-Balah, gaza pull – An Israeli air attack reached the fourth floor of the main hospital in southern Gaza on Monday, killing at least eight people, including several journalists, hospital officials said to News themezone. An official of the Civil Defense Rescue Agency in Hamas-Run Loop He later said that at least 15 people were killed in the strike in total.

The Civil Defense spokesman, Mahmud Bassal, told journalists on the scene that “the death toll is 15, including four journalists and a civil defense member,” according to the French news agency News.

The victims were killed in a double touch strike in the hospital, with a missile that hits first, then other times later when rescue teams arrived, said the Ministry of Health.

The Nasser Hospital of Khan Younis, the largest in southern Gaza, has resisted raids and bombing for 22 months of war, with officials who cite shortage criticism of supplies and personnel.

Israel’s military did not immediately answer questions about the strike or reports that journalists were among the victims. Israel has had an increasing pressure on the number of journalists killed in their military operations in Gaza, even on specific strikes against individuals who claim that Israeli officials were Hamas agents.

A hospital official told News themezone that four journalists were killed in the double -touch strike on Monday morning at Nasser Hospital. The official identified the four as Husam al Masri, who worked for the Reuters news agency, Mohammad Salameh, who worked for Al Jazeera, and independent journalists Maryam Abu Daqa and the mouth Abu Taha.

News’s news director for the Middle East, Jon Gumbrell, said in a publication on the social networks that Abu Aaqa had “regardless of the AP since Gaza’s war began.”

At least another journalist was injured in the strike, said the hospital official, identifying man as Haithem Omar, who also works for Reuters.

Reuters confirmed that Al-Masri, a contractor who worked for the International News Agency, was among those killed. He said that photographer Hatem Khaled, who also worked as a contractor for the agency, was injured.

Israeli attacks and raids in hospitals are not uncommon. Multiple hospitals have been attacked or attacked through the Gaza Strip, and Israel states that their attacks had attacked militants who operated within medical facilities, without providing evidence.

On August 11, Israel’s army attacked and killed five jazeera journalists in Gaza, including the correspondent Anas Al-Sharif. Israel’s defense forces said he had intelligence and Gaza documents to show that Al-Sharif was the head of a Hamas terrorist cell, and the FDI shared photos without a date of Al-Sharif with Yahya Sinwar, the main leader of Hamas in Gaza, which was killed last October.

News themezone could not verify the authenticity of the photos. Al Jazeera and Al-Sharif had previously dismissed Israel’s claims as without foundation, News reported. Only three weeks ago, Al-Sharif had appealed to the committee to protect journalists for fear of being killed.

A June strike against Nasser Hospital killed three people and wounded 10, according to the Ministry of Health. At that time, Israel’s army said he had signed up for Hamas militants who operated from a command and control center inside the hospital.

The Ministry of Health led by Hamas said on Sunday that at least 62,686 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched their war in Gaza in retaliation for the terrorist attack led by Hamas of 2023 who killed about 1,200 Israelis and saw another 251 taken as hostages.

The Ministry does not distinguish in its figures between combatants and civilians, but says that about half of those killed have been women and children. The UN and independent experts consider it the most reliable information available on the victims of war, since such figures are difficult to verify independently, since Israel does not allow foreign journalists to enter Gaza.

Israel disputes its figures but has not provided their own.
