New York (AP)-the artist of Drag Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known as Jigly hot reality television star in “Rupaul’s Drag Race”, died on Sunday at age 44, days after his family reported hospitalization for a serious infection.
Castro-Arabejo, who became a judge in “Drag Race Philippines” in 2022, discarded the plans to appear in the next season after a recent hospitalization for a “severe infection” and a leg amputation surgery, his family said in a statement on his Instagram page.
He died early Sunday, his family said in another statement.
“A luminous presence in the entertainment and defense worlds, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for its infectious energy, fierce ingenuity and unwavering authenticity,” his family said Sunday. “Innumerable lives played through their art, activism and the genuine connection that foster with fans around the world.”

“His talent, truth and impact will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to kill, always,” said a declaration of “Rupaul’s Drag Race” published in X. “We are holding his family, friends and fans in our hearts during this difficult time.”
Born in the Philippines, Castro-Abejo emigrated to New York. He started working in Drag about 20 years ago, appearing in competitions and competitions.

“When it comes to my culture, I live and breathe that I am a Filipina,” he said. “I am a proud immigrant woman.”
