Vice President JD Vance sat down with the influencer and the boxer Jake Paul as they watched the US women’s hockey team claim a 5-0 victory over Finland in the Winter Olympic Games on Saturday.

Vance and his family entered during intermission at the end of the first period, with the United States leading 1-0. Paul joined them shortly after. Paul’s fiancee, Jutta Leerdam, is a speed skater from the Netherlands in the Milan Cortina Games.

Vance was sitting with his youngest daughter, Mirabel, on his lap. Usha Vancewearing a sweatshirt with “USA” in large letters, cheered to Queen’s “We Will Rock You” before the second period began.

The vice president and his wife stood and applauded when the U.S. women’s team scored a goal. They recovered and cheered a few minutes later when the American women scored again.

Among those sitting near Vance were 2010 Olympic figure skating gold medalist Evan Lysacek and hockey’s twin sisters, Hall of Famers Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamoureux-Morando. They were members of the gold medal-winning U.S. team at the 2018 Winter Games.

This is Vance’s second time watching the US women’s team at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

He was also at the Milano Rho ice hockey arena on Thursday, when the United States beat Czechia 5-1 in the first game of the preliminary round.
