Jennifer Lawrence becomes real about 1 aspect of motherhood that is extremely insulating
Jennifer Lawrence is opening on the realities that come with motherhood and how he has affected his work.
The actor of the “passengers” stars in a new film, called “Die My Love”, in which his character develops postpartum psychosis after childbirth.
Lawrence, who now has two children, talked about how his own experience with having children reported his process.
“As a mother, it was really difficult to separate what he would do instead of what he would do. And it was simply heartbreaking,” Lawrence said about his character at a Cannes press conference for the film, according to Variety.

“I had just had my firstborn, and in reality there is nothing like postpartum. It is extremely insulating, which is very interesting,” he said, before talking about his character’s experience in the movie.
“When Lynne moves this couple to Montana, he doesn’t have a community. He doesn’t have his people,” Lawrence said. “But the truth is that extreme anxiety and extreme depression are isolating, regardless of where you are. You feel like an alien.”
In his experience, “having children changes everything,” said Lawrence.
“Change your whole life. It’s brutal and incredible,” he continued. “So not only enters every decision if I am working, where I am working, when I am working, they have taught me, I mean, I did not know that I could feel so much, and my work has a lot to do with emotion. It is almost like feeling a blister or something like that, so sensitive.”
She added: “I strongly recommend having children if you want to be an actor.”
