Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about some of the trade-offs she’s had to make as a working mother of two.

The “Hunger Games” actress appeared on The New York Times podcast “The Interview” over the weekend and talked about her attempts to balance it all.

“Having children is a sacrifice. It is gratifying, surprising and gratifying, but it is not No sacrificial,” Lawrence said.

“I’ve never had to say no before to something I really wanted to do. I could just do it,” she explained. “I do struggle. I feel vain and selfish because I love being a creative person so much. My kids and family are more important, obviously, but they feel like an equal part of me.”

She added that “I wouldn’t be complete if I couldn’t make movies. I just wouldn’t do it.”

“When I had my son, my firstborn, I thought: being an actress is the perfect job to be a practical mother! Now I realize: that was Covid,” she said. “So I wonder to what extent it is okay to love this and not want to give it up.”

The Oscar-winning actress and her husband, Cooke Maroney, welcomed their first child, a boy named Cy, in 2022.

“The morning after giving birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Now it’s the first day of my life,” the “Silver Lining Linings” star told Vogue in September 2022.

“I just looked [at him]. “I was so in love,” she added. “I also fell in love with all the babies everywhere. Newborns are so amazing. “They are these little pink, swollen, fragile survivors.”
