John Goodman is revealing the truth behind his relationship with Roseanne Barr.

In a Friday interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Goodman discussed the popular “Roseanne” situation comedy. The actor played Barr’s husband, Dan Conner, in the program, as well as in the restart and his successor, “The Conners”, which wrapped his seventh and last season in the spring of 2025.

During the interview, Thr said that Goodman’s character went to present his respects for Barr’s tomb, the new program wrote Barr in the first episode, and then asked if the two actors were still in contact.

“No. I prefer to doubt if she wants to talk to me,” he said. “We have not spoken for about seven or eight years.”

Goodman’s statements continue to follow up the cancellation of the original revival in 2018 after Barr’s racist comments with respect to the former White House advisor of Obama, Valerie Jarrett.

After Barr’s statement, ABC canceled the restart of the program, citing a statement from the then president of the Channing Dungey Network: “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, disgusting and inconsistent with our values. We have decided to cancel his program.”

After Barria received a violent reaction on social networks, Goodman confessed to feel “bad” for his former co -star.

Although the two are not in communication, Goodman still has good things to say about the chemistry that the two shared while working together.

“We left Jump Street. She made me laugh, and I made her laugh, and Wow was very fun,” he said. “We would get so many spectators for the show at that time: 20, 30 million people. Things are very different now, but it was a special moment.”
