Kristi Noem’s fans for the photos may be undermining the mission of his own agency, according to a variety of government sources who spoke with the Wall Street Journal.

The Secretary of the National Security Department, often, striking appearances at the border crossings and together with the immigration and customs compliance of customs have made it an advertising fence for the repression of President Donald Trump.

But, according to reports, some officials are frustrated by the consequences of their advertising bombings, which have also included millions in television ads and a tour widely criticized by an infamous saving prison where hundreds of immigrants were sent last month.

In one case, the sources told the magazine that Noem probably hindered a series of early raids in the morning in New York City by publishing on the operation on social networks while it was still underway.

The people familiar with the January effort said that Noem’s position on X was inclined in the objectives that ICE was in action, spoiled the surprise element and resulted in “less arrests than the officials expected.”

Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary of Public Affairs of the Department of National Security, dismissed the suggestion, telling the magazine that the raids were already finishing when Noem’s post was launched.

Even so, his taste for the center of attention has caused frustration in Washington DC

The sources told the newspaper that Noem’s current press tour means that it happens alone “a few hours a week” at the department’s headquarters, a strong contrast with the previous DHS secretaries that were more practical in the configuration strategy.

McLaughlin, however, argued that Noem’s unorthodox approach has delivered results.

With illegal border crossings now at its lowest level in decades, the DHS spokesman told the Journal: “The world is listening to the message of Secretary Noem High and Claro: the border is safer in US history and border encounters are in minimal record.”
