Latinas for Trump’s co -founder tear Trump’s immigration policies as unacceptable and inhuman
A Republican state senator from Florida who co -founded the Latin group for Trump is condemning and distancing himself from the anti -immigrant policies of President Donald Trump, calling them “unacceptable and inhuman.”
“This is not what we vote. I have always supported Trump, throughout the and thin. However, this is unacceptable and inhuman,” Senator Ileana García said in a statement on Saturday.
Garcia, whose Miami-Dade County district is overwhelmingly Hispanic or Latin and voted for Trump during the last elections, said she puts on the side of Trump’s efforts to attack immigrants who are criminals, but said that her goal of those who seek legal citizenship is unfair.

“This undermines the sense of equity and justice that the American people value,” he wrote, while expressing his support for the companion Republican representative of Miami, María Elvira Salazar, who condemned Trump’s actions similarly on Friday.
The representative Salazar was immediately attacked by Trump’s supporters on social networks after expressing that immigrants are arrested or deported while passing through the immigration courts.
“I remain clear in my position: any person with a pending asylum case, request for state adjustment or a similar claim deserves to go through the legal process,” Salazar said in a statement, which led the calls to social networks so that she was voted in the next primary elections.
In a follow -up post on Sunday, Garcia said he has “faith” that “President Trump will do what is only for those who seek ascending freedom and mobility.”
Garcia was first chosen for the Senate in 2020 and established Trump’s support group in 2016, according to Miami Herald.
