Liam Payne
Kate Cassidy, girlfriend of the late Liam Payne, paid tribute to the One Direction star in what would have been her 32nd birthday on August 29.
In a moving publication on Instagram aimed at his “dear Liam,” Cassidy said he broke his heart that he could not “give him a physical birthday card today.”
“I can’t hear your laugh, or tell you all the things I would like to have said a thousand times more,” he wrote. “I’ve been fighting the right words, but I will start with the happy happy birthday.”
“Today you would have been 32 years old. In your 31 years here you brought so much joy, happiness and hope to so many, especially for me,” Cassidy added. “I hope you know how brilliant I still shine, even from there. I would give up years of my life just to give you some more. I miss memories with you. I miss having things to wait together.”
He finished his message telling Payne that “he would celebrate him more today, he would honor his life and appreciate the beautiful moments we have had.”

“On August 29 it will be a date that sits in my heart for the rest of my life. I love you very much,” he said, signing his note, “yours, Katelyn.”
Cassidy and Payne left for two years before the premature death of the singer in October 2024. Payne died after falling from a third -floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Later, a toxicology report revealed that the 31 -year -old had several substances in his system at his time of death, such as cocaine, cocaine crack and benzodiazepines.
Cassidy said the two had a “chilling” moment in the conversation before Payne’s death.
“I remember sitting there with him and he continued and continued and told Liam how much I love him,” he said in an interview in the podcast “On purpose” of Jay Shetty in April. “He laughed and interrupted and he just said: ‘Kate, as, you will miss your flight. Your car is in the entrance path. You are acting like this is the last time you will see me again.'”
Cassidy said at that time that “he laughed” in response to his comment.
