Lil Nas explains why he rejected collaboration with Taylor Swift

“We were working on something,” said the singer in an interview with E! News last week at the Glaad Media Awards.
“She offered to let me try a verse in something, but I couldn’t catch an environment for it, so it didn’t happen,” he said, added that he “didn’t even want to talk.”
Although the song does not happen, Lil Nas X said he is “proud of my girl.”
“I love the album,” he added. “She has been doing her own. She is in the top of very Tippety. I am grateful that I have even considered me.”

While Lil Nas X and Swift are still working to find their perfect song, SZA recently opened on a possible next collaboration with Swift.
“Every time he approaches me or approaches me, I am like, ‘very well, this is happening, because that is Taylor Swift,” SZA said during an appearance in March in “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
“I think I mentioned that I would love to write with her and build some things together,” he said. “I love his narration. I was open to it.”
Country Keith Urban music artist has talked about the collaboration process with Swift before, and said that two songs joined in the most unexpected place: a food court.
“So I am in the mall, making my Christmas purchases and I receive a Taylor text message saying: ‘I have these two songs where I want you to sing, do you want to listen to them?” Urban said during an appearance in 2021 in “The Ellen Degeneres Show.”
