Mariah Carey reveals 1 time she was
Mariah Carey did not have a vision of love when it came to how fans perceived their tenth studio album, “The Emancipation of Mimi.”
The 2005 album, which marked its twentieth anniversary on April 12, represented what Carey has called “an incredible part” of his life, but the way in which fans labeled was not something that was particularly obsessed.
“At that time, he bothered me when they called him an album back,” Carey told People in the interview published on April 18. “But now I’m like, ‘Oh, yes, my return album’.”
Carey, who first arrived at the waves in 1990, continued saying: “It’s like, how many returns do I have to have?”
But she confessed that the description was, in reality, “something precise.”

The singer of “We belongs Together” acknowledged that “not everyone knows the album”, but he delights in the idea that listeners can still discover their deepest cuts and experience something that resonates again.
To celebrate the milestone, the icon sat with Spotify to reflect on the album, artistic and spiritually.
“‘Fly Like A Bird’ is probably the vocal voice of which I am more proud,” he said. “It was such a strong message that I was writing for God, for me, for my fans. I still think so.”

In a video for notes at the foot of Vevo, Carey also revealed the story behind the wedding dress he wore in the video “We Belong Together”. Instead of wasteing a new dress, he opted for the one in his closet, the dress he wore when he married the Executive Tommy Mottola in 1993 and divorced in 1998.
