McDonald’s CEO burns after uncomfortable taste test of new burger
A promotion for McDonald’s new dish is making people wonder if the company’s CEO has ever eaten fast food.
In a video posted in early February but now going viral, burger boss Chris Kempczinski shows off the chain’s new Big Arch sandwich during a taste test that includes the smallest bite possible.
“I love this product. It’s so good,” he says as he dramatically marvels at the sandwich, which includes a pair of quarter-pound patties, crispy onions, white cheddar cheese, toasted sesame poppy seed bun and his signature “Big Arch” sauce.
“Oh, there’s a lot going on with this,” Kempczinski whispers as he picks up his lunch as if it were a piece of fine china. “I don’t even know how to attack him, he has so many things to do!”
Declaring the “moment of truth,” the restaurant executive takes the most delicate bite and savors it with an emphatic “Mmmm.”
Although Kempczinski called his kiss a “big bite for a Big Bow,” people online were completely baffled by his microscopic chewing.
Some called the video “dystopian,” while others said it looked like the CEO was an “alien” encountering a cheeseburger for the first time.
Fellow fast-food joint Wendy’s appeared to side-eye Kempczinski in a comment that said, “There’s a lot to unpack here.”
The Mini Cooper car Instagram account joked: “We will start testing our cars 1 meter at a time.”

Cake creator and influencer Jonny Manganello, also known as TheJonnyCakes, commented on what the video looked like: “Me, 10 years old, when my parents told me to eat vegetables.”
Mickey D’s archrival Burger King capitalized on the cringeworthy content with a TikTok of Tom Curtis, president of US and Canada operations, taking a big bite out of a Whopper that left sauce stains on his face.
“Not bad, right?” asks a voice off camera,
Laughing, Curtis told them, “There’s only one thing missing: a napkin.”
McDonald’s is promoting its Big Arch as a “ketchupier” burger with a tangy “Western”-style sauce, rather than the Big Mac’s iconic sweeter “secret sauce.”
The sandwich launched on March 3 and will only be available for a limited time.
