Michelle Obama is demonstrating once again that the association is more important than payment checks.
In Wednesday’s episode of her “IMO” podcast with her brother, Craig Robinson, the former first lady reflected on the risks she assumed to make her 36 -year relationship with Barack Obama work.
During a conversation about the balance of ambition and appointments, Robinson asked: “Would you be attracted to a guy who is not a financial sound when you know it?”
Without hesitation, Michelle Obama replied: “Uh, I married one.”
The author, lawyer and mother of two elaborated, explaining how and why she left the corporate law not long after meeting her now husband.

“I had someone who said: ‘I supported you. The risks you think you are taking, are not so crazy, and I’m here to help you,” he recalled.
That promise sealed the deal.
“I said: ‘I prefer to have that in a couple than in a higher income,” he explained. “‘I prefer to have someone who is ready to do some difficult things with me.” But that meant he had to be ready to do some difficult things with him. ”
