Former first lady Michelle Obama reflects on one of her most appreciated memories with her husband, former president Barack Obama.

The couple, married for thirty -two years and famous under the public microscope, has resisted everything, from political scrutiny to the speculation fed online about their relationship. But, in a recent interview with Lewis Howes published on Friday, Michelle offered a refreshing vision of the earth in his life, focused on a memory that still brings a smile.

As practical parents for daughters Sasha and Malia, the Obama were deeply involved in the lives of their children. One of those moments? When Barack entered the role of coach for the fourth grade basketball team of Sasha, Los Vipers.

“One of the best stories about my husband is that he trained the fourth grade basketball league of Sasha, Los Vipers,” Michelle shared.

He explained that the team played at a local YMCA in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Barack was not the original coach. But he didn’t take a long time to take note of training, or his lack.

In addition to the list of stars of the vines, there was Maisy Biden, granddaughter of the then vice president Joe Biden. The gym, as Michelle recalled, became a great show, complete with a presidential entourage of secret service agents that flank the stands.

“And, of course, they are still screaming, ‘Basketball Maisy’,” Michelle joked in reference to Biden, after saying that she also told her husband to calm her emotion.

The original coaches, admitted, were not exactly experienced professionals. His inexperience became evident for the second game of the team. It was then that Barack began to “slide to the coach’s bank” and not officially began “lateral training.”

“Finally, it begins to offer practice for the practice for the vipers,” he said. “Then, they come to one of the gyms of the center of the Department of Agriculture, every week they are training the Vas”.

What began as a great assistance of the lateral lines became a complete training role. And, according to Michelle, that additional effort was worth it. The Vipers won their championship, thanks in part to a very determined father in the bank.
