A Michigan high school took “strong and decisive action” after a disturbing video showed a university soccer player Panqueque a much smaller opponent than him, an official of the State Secondary School Athletics Association said Monday.
A Kalamazoo Central High School player got into his opponent at the end of the game during a match against Lakeshore High School on Thursday. The 15 -year -old mother told a Michigan local television station that her son suffered two column fractures.

“Our staff has been talking to both schools since Friday. Kalamazoo Central has taken this matter very seriously and have taken strong and decisive measures,” said the Athletics Association of the Michigan Secondary School (MHSAA) to News Digital. “Due to students’ privacy laws, we cannot reveal specific responsibility actions, but have exceeded what MHSAa’s regulations would require in cases of dangerous and unsportsmanlike behavior.
“Our schools can provide additional details while deciding to do so, since they are handling things internally.”

Kalamazoo’s public schools provided a statement to News later on Monday.
“An incident that occurred during the Junior University Soccer game of Kalamazoo Central High School on September 19 was the action of an individual student who showed an atrocious act against an opposite player in the opposite team,” said the public schools of Kalamazoo.
“This type of behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the values of sportsmanship, respect and integrity that Kalamazoo’s public schools expect from students athletes, coaches and the entire school community.
The authorities said the student “received consequences consisting of the Code of Code of Student of the Public Schools of Kalamazoo and in accordance with the regulations of the Athletic Association of the Michigan Secondary School.”
News Digital communicated with Lakeshore officials to comment.
The player who was at the receiving end of the Tackle was identified as Colton by his mother, Courtney Mims. She told WSBT-TV in Michigan that the work left her 15-year-old son with two fractures in the spine.

“As soon as I click, I couldn’t stop.
“These boys are high school children. They are 15 years old. The game means a lot for them. It is their entire life at this time. They are there before I get up to go to work in the morning until after dinner, putting at work and that someone tries to take that of someone who does so much is horrible for me to see it.”
She said her son had ended for the season and was expected to recover completely.
Mims, in Facebook publications, thanked those who offer sentences. She wrote that Kalamazoo players approached her to apologize.
“This really made me cry, and has helped remind me that the players’ actions do not reflect, in fact, a complete team, and has not done so; in all aspects,” he wrote. “We are with the right side, and we are very grateful to everyone in this community and extending that they are behind us; and we continue to share the story.”
The central player of Kalamazoo was not identified.
