Miley Cyrus reveals how she tried to save the relationship with Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus is opening on how her public personality has affected her love life over the years, often at a great cost.

The “Flowers” singer said that a particularly provocative period of her life, when she was doing the 2013 “Bangerz” album, made her relationship with her then promised, Liam Hemsworth, derail.

“When Liam and I separated us the first time with ‘Bangerz’, it was because it was like, I was this provocative and was highly sexualized,” Cyrus said during a sincere sitting with the podcast of “all albums” last week.

Then it contrasts that image with which he tried to grow during his 2017 album “Younger Now”, when she and Hemsworth were together again.

“And so, for ‘Younger Now’ – the album – the reason I like that I played in this innocence was because I think it was a way of maintaining and a way of staying [innocent]”She said.

Cyrus described his train of thought as: “If I am now younger, if I am less awake as this sexual woman publicly, this will be the way I can keep a happy home.”

But with “younger now,” he said, “I didn’t know how to do it completely because I was also balancing sobriety because I was still not making me completely sober.”

“And then I thought, well, ‘I am safe and I am clean and I am using everything white and I am singing songs about nature,” he said, explaining that “I was just trying to find a person who could keep my personal life intact.”

It was difficult, said Cyrus, since he is “super open” and also has to “be careful not to tell other people’s things because I know, I say everything.”

“Respectfully, Liam was also part of other great franchises such as ‘The Hunger Games’, and his brother is a Marvel superhero. And he was also representing the family,” he said.

“My plan was this time, I didn’t want the relationship to fall apart. I wanted it to remain intact,” Cyrus shared. “And the reason why it did not work during ‘Bangerz’ was for that.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth met for the first time on the set of the 2010 movie “The Last Song”. They committed themselves in 2012, when Cyrus was only 19 years old and Hemsworth was 22 years old.

They fulfilled their commitment in 2013 before being together again in 2016. The same year, the couple announced their second commitment.

Hemsworth and Cyrus finally arrived at the altar in December 2018, but announced their separation a few months later. The two officially divorced in August 2019.
