How Americans use AI for daily health

The survey, conducted by Talker Research for the Annual Vitamin Shoppe trends report, shows how deep AI is integrated into people’s health routines:

  • 31% use AI to explore specific medical concerns.
  • 25% trust it for the planning and recipes of meals.
  • 23% resort to AI for new training routines.
  • 20% seek emotional or therapeutic support through AI.

That’s not all. A quarter of users (24%) are even using AI to verify the information they have heard from doctors, friends or social networks.

What is artificial intelligence (AI)?

More people trust AI than in social networks for health

Surprisingly, trust in AI is rapidly uploading. About 63% of Americans find reliable for health orientation. That is more than those who trust social networks (43%) or influential (41%), although even less than those who trust doctors (93%) or friends (82%). And when it comes to convenience, AI wins points. Around a third of users (31%) say they prefer to ask AI about the search for Google. Almost so many (27%) say it is easier than receiving the advice of a health professional.

What is feeding the increase in AI in well -being?

The trend is part of a larger image. 73% of Americans want to keep up with the latest health trends. And 68% believe that AI will play an even more important role in the future of well -being.

Other findings of the trend report show:

  • 51% are more aware of the peptides than five years ago.
  • 66% are adding more proteins to their diets.
  • 54% prioritize sleep and rest on training.
  • 44% are making peace with aging, while only 21% try to combat it actively.

These changes reflect a broader vision of well -being, one that balances physical, mental and emotional health.

Smart health supplements and trends in 2025

The supplements are still central to many routines. About 69% of Americans are currently taking them. And thanks to the new delivery options such as gommies, chewing and liquids, 34% say that it is now easier than ever continuing with a supplement plan. Meanwhile, the proven adaptogens like Shilajit are gaining popularity among younger consumers. And innovations such as NAD+ for longevity and recovery peptides are seeing a growing demand. As Muriel González, president of Vitamin Shoppe explains, “AI is just a piece of a much greater well -being evolution.”
