Nancy Pelosi doubles down on attacking Trump Description:
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday stood by her colorful description of President Donald Trump, whom she called a “vile creature” and “the worst thing on the face of the Earth.”
“I said that as a euphemism,” Pelosi told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “I could have done a lot worse.”
Pelosi laughed, but then turned serious as she described the differences between Trump’s previous term and what he is doing today.
“He’s surrounded by much worse people than before,” he said. “There was some control over him before, but I don’t see it now. I think the people he has appointed are probably the worst cabinet in history.”
Pelosi served as speaker of the House of Representatives twice, including during part of Trump’s previous term. The two had some heated encounters, like this moment at the White House when she literally confronted the president:

Trump himself posted the photo, claiming it showed Pelosi was “unhinged.” Instead, the image, taken on National Boss’s Day, was celebrated on social media.
A few months later, Pelosi became a social media sensation again when she was caught on camera sitting behind Trump during the State of the Union and breaking up his speech:

“It was the courteous thing to do, to consider the alternatives,” Pelosi told a reporter as she left.
Trump became enraged and claimed (falsely) that breaking up his speech was “very illegal.”
Earlier this month, Pelosi, 85, announced that she will not seek re-election next year.
Trump was elated at the news.
“Nancy Pelosi retiring is a great thing for America,” he told News. “She was evil, corrupt and only focused on bad things for our country.”
