Nancy Pelosi’s fiery response to MAGA reporters’ January 6 question goes viral
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) clashed Wednesday with a pro-Donald Trump reporter who claimed the lawmaker was somehow to blame for the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Alison Steinberg, a correspondent for election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell’s LindellTV outlet, confronted the former House speaker outside the Capitol and asked if she feared a new House committee could find her “responsible for that day” when a mob of Trump supporters, incited by the president himself, stormed the building. Watch the video.
Pelosi, Speaker of the House on the day of the attack, initially withdrew.
“Why did they reject the National Guard on January 6?” -Steinberg shouted-. To which Pelosi quickly turned around and responded, “Shut up. I didn’t turn down the National Guard. The president didn’t send it. Why do you come in here with Republican talking points like you’re a serious journalist?”
Pelosi then left.

A Democratic-led House committee concluded in 2022 that Trump “never gave any order to deploy the National Guard on January 6 or any other day” and “nor did he direct any federal law enforcement agency to assist.”
