Outrage after viral video showing fan groping pop star during show
Halsey fans are outraged after a fan groped the singer at a recent concert.
Clips of the incident have gone viral on social media after someone near the stage was filmed sliding their hand up her skirt during the singer’s Nov. 4 stop at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., for her Back to Badlands tour.
In the images, the Grammy-nominated musician is seen wearing a leather miniskirt and fishnet stockings while standing on stage while her fans cheer her on from below. An unidentified person’s hand then touches Halsey’s thigh before touching her buttocks under her skirt.
Moments later, what appears to be the gloved hand of a security guard stops the inappropriate behavior by moving the individual’s hand.
Halsey continued singing on stage.
People on X, formerly Twitter, reacted angrily to the rape moment.
“I can’t even believe I have to say this. Respect Halsey and DO NOT touch her or anyone like this without their consent,” one person said. wrote. “You guys are amazing.”
Other saying, “ewwww why do people do this? Haven’t we learned to respect? There is no excuse for this.”

“OMG…this person should be banned from attending a Halsey show again, how disrespectful…” someone else added.
Halsey’s representatives did not immediately respond to News’s request for comment.
Although Halsey has not directly addressed the incident, the “Life’s a Mess” singer apparently referenced the moment the next day on X.
“I really hope Nightmare gets stronger tomorrow at the armory. You guys basically own that song,” he captioned his Nov. 5 post ahead of his Minneapolis tour date.
In “Nightmare,” her anthem for young women, she sings about proudly rejecting the unfair and invasive expectations that men place on women.

At one point in the song, Halsey sings: “‘Come on, little lady, give us a smile’ / No, I have nothing to smile for / I have no one to smile for, I waited a while / A moment to say I don’t owe you anything.”
