Pam Bondi’s resurfaced 2014 video comes back to haunt her
One of Attorney General Pam Bondi’s old campaign videos is causing a stir.
In a recently resurfaced ad from her 2014 bid to be re-elected as Florida’s top prosecutor, Bondi pledges to “fight to put the monsters of human trafficking where they belong, behind bars.”
Speaking of his first term as Attorney General of the Sunshine State, he says, “I knew we needed all hands on deck: businesses and hospitals to catch it, our great law enforcement to stop it, and tougher penalties to punish it.”
The decade-old statement seemed enlightening to critics of Bondi, who has been accused of failing to hold the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his associates accountable for their involvement in an alleged human trafficking conspiracy.
On Wednesday, Bondi clashed with congressional leaders when asked about the investigations and the release of related documents during a confrontational hearing in front of the House Judiciary Committee.

The attorney general appeared visibly agitated when Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) asked her, “How many of Epstein’s accomplices have you charged? How many perpetrators are you even investigating?”
Bondi took her time responding, prompting Nadler to repeat his question and get a furious response.
“I’m going to answer the question the way I want to answer it,” he said, pointing his finger at the congressman and then saying, “Your theatrics are ridiculous.”
He took the same tone when Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) pressed Bondi to address Epstein survivors who attended the hearing.
“I’m not going to go into the gutter because of your theatrics,” he responded.
During the hearing, Bondi was seen with what Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) called a “burn book,” a folder full of information she used to try to undermine Democrats.
