Patti Labelle reveals his favorite 1 moment with Elton John and it’s not what you expect
Like Donna Summer, Patti Labelle works hard for her money, so you better treat her well!
While reviving the past, during a capricious game in Sherri Shephard’s interview program, “Sherri” on Thursday, the music icon counted memories of yesteryear, including a moment with Elton John that came with some losses and victories.
“He was my pianist,” Labelle said, remembering his time with John.
While he was in London, John, who left by his original name, Reginald Kenneth Dwight at that time, played for Labelle for a year, according to the singer.
“We played a lot of letters. I took all his pounds. All his money,” he confessed with confidence.

Being the skilled card player who is, Labelle continued to explain how she always won when she and John, along with her musical companions, would play. But, always the kind victor, the singer “the feeding” since they probably had luck at that time.
“I made food to take home, with my tupperware,” he recalled. “My tupperware is very important to me. I don’t give it.”
Together with her tupperware, the singer “in my own” proclaimed that he also does not lend his shopping bags. With his altruistic heart, Labelle admits that he lent his precious possessions, but remembers that he never received them, a crime that he did not take probable.
Fortunately, for John, it is not where the story ends. Years later, he called Labelle, inviting her to a show that was heading, but now, of course, I was going with the name we all recognized.

“Patti said, please see my show tonight,” he recalled.
His answer: “Who are you opening for?”
John answered casually: “I’m Elton John now.”
From that moment, time has passed, and the two finally made a song together. Labelle remembers the singer by removing their rings and placing them on the piano. Always the maternal figure, Labelle said he left his rings in the piano, to which he replied: “That is your tupperware.”
Although John never returned Labelle’s tupperware, he states that “the ring is beautiful” and gave him a new attitude.
