Pete Davidson got sincere about the story behind a “humiliating” tattoo that said: “The jokes come and go, but the loot is forever.”

The “Saturday Night Live” student, in an appearance in “Hot Ones,” Evans told presenter that the ink was inspired by a conversation with Dave Chappelle after the comedian saw Davidson act standing at the knitting factory from Brooklyn.

“Seeing him was crazy, like ‘What the Fuck’,” said Davidson de Chappelle, who was still pause to act himself.

“I left the stage and he said: ‘I saw all your set. It was really good.'”

Davidson thanked Chappelle before asking how he continues “inventing new things” as a comedian, referring to her as a “difficult” task at that time.

“And he says: ‘The jokes come and go, but Swag is forever.’ And guess who tattooed in his chest? Davidson said.

Davidson said that while Chappelle was, and still, his idol, then covered him with the “Jaws” shark because “he needed something huge to black.”

“I could have told the people who told me that,” Davidson said about the TAT, who was not attributed to Chappelle.

“When you see that, you think I thought. I didn’t put, ‘Dash Chappelle’ … horrible.”
