Two people were arrested after the police found 383 bodies accumulated in a private crematorium in northern Ciudad Juárez, near the border of the United States, said the local prosecutor’s office on Tuesday, attributing the spooky to find negligence.
The bodies were “irregularly deposited in the crematorium, which were not incinerated,” communications coordinator of the Office of the Prosecutor of the State of Chihuahua told News.
Garcia said the bodies were “stacked” without an apparent order in several rooms of the building where the crematorium operates in the city about 10 miles south of El Paso, Texas.
They were “launched, indiscriminately, one on top of the other, on the floor,” he said.
All bodies had been embalmed. Instead of ashes, relatives received “another material,” Garcia said.

The authorities estimated that some of the remains could have been there for up to two years.
Garcia blamed the “carelessness and irresponsibility” of crematorium owners, adding that all these companies “know what their daily cremation capacity is.”
“You can’t take more than you can process,” he said.
State Attorney General César Jáuregui Moreno met with families worried that their loved ones can be among the bodies recovered from the crematorium, the prosecutor’s office said Tuesday.
“We will look for the greatest possible penalty for those responsible,” he said. “We will carry out an exhaustive investigation, seeking to minimize the revictimization of the families that are already experiencing this.”
Forensic officials said that of the 383 bodies, 218 are men, 149 women and 16 are currently undetermined.

The authorities did not specify whether the bodies belonged to the victims of criminal violence.
Mexico, a hard country for organized crime, has been suffering for years of a crisis in its forensic system, saturated by the large number of bodies that will be processed, the lack of personnel and budgetary restrictions.
The news of the arrested crematorium was announced only one day later 20 bodiesseveral of them decapitated, were found on a road bridge in a part of Mexico where the factions of the Sinaloa drug cartel are fighting each other.
The road found four headless bodies, while 16 bodies were discovered inside an abandoned vehicle, said the office of the state prosecutor of Sinaloa. Five human heads were found inside a bag on the scene.
