The French police launched an investigation on Tuesday after pork heads were found out of several mosques in the Paris region, said the city’s police chief.
At least at least nine were found, said Laurent Núñez, adding more that could be discovered.
“Pork heads have been left to certain mosques … four in Paris and five in the internal suburbs,” Núñez told a press conference. He said the police were not “ruling out the possibility that others could be found.”
Núñez said in an X publication that “everything is possible to find the perpetrators of these despicable acts.”

The bosses were discovered on public roads in Paris and three nearby suburbs, according to local authorities.
Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, condemned the acts, calling them “scandalous” and “absolutely unacceptable.”
“I want our Muslim compatriots to practice their faith in peace,” he said.
Chems-Edine Hafiz, the rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, denounced the “Islamaphobic acts” as “a new and sad stage in the emergence of anti-musulm hate” and requested “national awareness and solidarity against this dangerous trajectory.”
France is home to the largest Muslim community in the European Union, more than 6 million, as well as the largest Jewish population outside Israel and the United States. In Islam, eating pork is strictly prohibited because it is considered impure.
Several nations of the European Union have reported an increase in “anti-musulman hatred” and anti-Semitism from Gaza’s War It began in October 2023, according to the Fundamental Rights Agency of the European Union.
