President Trump Schmoozes with UFC Fight supporters in Miami

Miami (AP) – President Donald Trump said the ovation standing and the cheers he drew when he took his seat at an UFC event in his native state in Florida were signs “we are doing a good job.”

Trump shake hands with some supporters while walking towards his seat at home on Saturday night at the Kaseya de Miami center, while others stirred their characteristic red campaign limit.

The Republican president, who stayed for several hours before flying back to his home in Palm Beach, said it was a “great honor” to receive that recognition of the crowd.

“He says we are doing a good job. If we were not doing a good job, we would get the opposite,” he told the journalists that he was accompanied by Air Force One.

In the almost three months since he returned to office, Trump launched a broad effort led by billionaire Elon Musk to reduce the government by firing thousands of workers and reducing spending, tried without success until now to end the Russian war against Ukraine and impose tariffs against many countries, including nearby allies in the United States.

The Democrats, and even some Trump supporters have criticized their first actions.

But in UFC, it was a night centered on the fighters in the cage.

“Each of them appeared at the end, and they were great,” Trump said. “I mean, they are all warriors, modern warriors.”

At one point, fighter Dominick Reyes approached the side of the octagon after winning his fight and recognized Trump. Reyes went to take a photo with the president after the interview after the fight.
